De la Sangra's anole

Agnolis sagrei

Description:

Like other anoles, it can change colour, in this case from darker brown to black. Its dewlap ranges from yellow to orange-red. They moult in small pieces rather than in one large piece. They will feed on small arthropods such as crickets, moths, ants, grasshoppers, and the list goes on, - nearly anything that will fit in their mouths. This one is trying its luck with a cicada

Habitat:

Seen on a pavement (sidewalk) on Nassau
