Common Snapping Turtle

Chelydra serpentina

Notes:

A VERY large Common Snapper I accidentally caught while fishing. He was so heavy and gave such a strong back-and-forth fight in the water that I thought I had hooked a giant channel catfish. He wasn't harmed - immediately after I snapped this picture, he spit out the hook and climbed up and out of the boat like a boss. He was not impressed with me!
