Description:

This dragonfly has a distinctive powder blue thorax and front half of the abdomen, with the rest of the abdomen black. The female is yellow and black with a white stripe on the top of the thorax (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/151...).

Habitat:

Rivers and streams in savanna/woodland

Notes:

Fairly frequently observed along the Mlawula River in Mlawula Nature Reserve.
