Eastern Chipmunk

Tamias striatus

Description:

This little guy lived under the stairs behind my grandparents lake house. they have a life span of 3 years, they are rodents and have large cheek pouches on either side of the mouth which it uses to carry food. He was able to take up to three peanuts in his mouth at a time, and i am assuming he would leave to store them in his home and come back to receive more. He was not afraid of people.
