Acer Rubrum
Height- Very tall. Shape- Long, small-medium at the diameter. Branches- Starts closer to the trunk, long, some thin and some thick. Bark- Very thick and very tough. Leaves- Three lobed, in bunches. Seeds- Helicopter seeds; in bud form at this moment.
The Red Maple is behind the Mentor High School building near a parking lot and near a sidewalk. It is surrounded by one other tree, flowers, and weeds.

This is probably a cultivated variety of sugar maple not red maple.
