Amphipsalta cingulata, is one if the most common species of cicada in New Zealand where it is endemic and found in most areas...This one was spotted in Waimangu, Rotorua NZ.
Hi, Looking at your image which is great. I am wondering if this is not a Clapping Cicada due to its shorter wings and olive colouring on the head and thorax?
