Common Milkweed

Description:

Milky sap. Very common. Small black disc-like seeds carried by the wind on silky parasols. Broad, elliptical and opposite leaves. Plant is 60cm tall.

Habitat:

Nearby a creek and on marshland.

Notes:

The flower heads can be fried in batter and eaten. The milky sap is poisonous.
