Araneus trifolium
This was on my tote bag. I have been afraid of spiders since I was child. I screamed first. Then, I decided that I had to take pictures, so that someone from Project Noah would tell me what this is. This was pretty big. The legs were light brown and white and the center of the back was red.
(sorry, I missed your comment)
You may not remember this, but to answer your question, I ran to the tree branch with my bag (I was so afraid to do that!), then I brushed my bag against the branch. Luckily, it moved over to the branch.
I took more pictures after that :-)
I know this spider is pretty good sized (since I spotted the same? spider myself today). How did you manage to move him from your tote bag to the tree?
Thank you very much Maria and J.
Yes, I am becoming more "curious" than "fear" and I hope I will continue to be this way. I hope this creature is not poisonous though...
That's great to hear that Noah is helping with your fear of spiders. As for indicating poisonous, I don't think there is anything official, like a mission, but you could include it in your notes.
Thank you very much Dan and J. I think it is Shamrock Orbweaver.
Looking at the picture, I think my spider is beautiful and I am getting less afraid of the spiders. Thanks to Project Noah! By the way, is there way for the people to indicate their spotting as "poisonous" or not? I am finding lots of mushrooms and I would like to know if they are poisonous or not.
I was thinking this was the shamrock spider - A. trifolium. My parents helped me spot this one.

Cool! Definitely Araneus genus. Please confirm species-level match, as there are a few similar ones.
