Description:

Average height 7-9m. Leaf is glossy with small rounded triangular teeth. Bark is purplish-brown with scaly ridges.

Habitat:

Frequent in old woods and hedges on heavier soils.

Notes:

Can be easily confused with Orchard apples many varieties and hybrids which generally have pinker flowers and larger friuts.
