So, black-tailed deer and mule deer are the same species, and is the only species of deer that ranges that far south in the Sierra Nevadas.

Emily, I agree it's deer.but the only Deer that I have seen here so far are black tailed Deer and mule Deer? Any further suggestions? Thanks for helping out!!
