Spotting

Description:

Not sure what this is. White root like structure growing up the side of the tree for about 40cm (16"). Possibly a type of multi headed slime?

Habitat:

tropical forest

Notes:

I saw this growing on the side of a small tree beside a stream in Golden Stream Corridor Preserve in southern Belize.
