Habitat:

Surprisingly I found these at a home we set up a scene for tv show and they were growing on top of a pile of mulch that had not been there too long. I found it very interesting. The location is in Toco Hill in Atlanta

These are Coprinopsis of the section Lanatuli, meaning they are closely related to Coprinopsis lagopus. Coprinellus has granulose/globulose velum on the cap, where Coprinopsis has filamentose velum.
