Plantain Squirrel

Callosciurus notatus

Description:

This cheeky individual was found hanging, running and winding around this banana heart. This species is a common species to S.E. Asia and is characteristically identified by its bright orange black & cream markings on its underside.

Habitat:

Generally Plantain Squirrels are found in rainforest habitats, both secondary & primary. It's success as a species is also largely due to it's ability to adapt and live in many environments including thriving urban areas such as Singapore.
