A tiny maple sapling.
I think they just take habitat away from the native trees, also their leaves probably don't release the same nutrients and minerals, and who knows how the fungi and decomposers deal or don't break it back down.
telling by how soft it appears to be, this is actually an invasive Norway Maple.
