Rattan Spikes

Description:

A species of Korthalsia rattan plant. The stems or "trunks" are covered in long sharp thorns. They can grow tall and long.

Habitat:

Along the trail in Bukit Gemuk (Fat Hill), Tawau, Sabah.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy: 1000m diameter. These "vines" are common along forest trails here making it a nuisance or even dangers to hikers and trekkers. Even Dan and I got hurt by these thorns during the hike today, fortunately we only received minor scratches.
