Description:

This is one of the commonest damselflies in Europe and very common in the UK. Males are usually recognised by the black 'U' on segment 2.

Habitat:

A wide variety of waters, especially still but also flowing.Favours the presence of aquatic vegetation.

Notes:

Flight season from April to Sept but most common from mid-May to the end of July.
