Molting caterpillar

Description:

This caterpillar was in the molting process, probably from second to third instar. Initially it was tied to a leaf by the back end of the body, but with the movements it did to come out of the old skin it first got free, and later fell to the ground. I lost it as it fell among tall grass.

Very strange, it looks sick or in trouble.
