Olla v-nigrum
The Ashy Gray Lady Beetle comes in two color forms. This is the dark form. Note white face and white border to the pronotum (top of thorax), which helps separate it from species of Chilocorus and similar genera. The other form is pale gray or beige with several rows of small black spots.
Varies from forest edges to riparian areas, even urban locations.
This specimen was encountered on the Oracle Ridge Trail, Mt. Lemmon, Arizona, north of Tucson.
