Katydid nymph

Caedicia simplex

Description:

Green Katydid nymph spotted on a leaf. The nymphs' body can be in different colours, either green, greenish-brown or pink. It seems that the body colour adapts to their living environment.

Notes:

The Maori name for the Green Katydid is "Kiki pounamu"
