They are highly variable, you may not ever match the back pattern to another photo. That's why it's great when they have the dewlap out, makes it simple to ID them.

It's clearly not a green anole. I knew it was not native to the FL because only green ones are. As far as not being sure that this is a brown, I couldn't find any sources which show the same color markings as the one I found.

How did you know it wasn't native to FL if you didn't know what species it was? Green anole is native to FL
