Orange Crane Fly

Description:

Large cranefly (it's legs extend well beyond this picture) with bright orange thorax and black dorsal stripe on abdomen. Body length approx. 28mm

Habitat:

Resting on the base of a pinus radiata in open parkland.

Notes:
