Thank you, Bernadette. You are right, it looks more like a beetle larva and we have so many beetles in the garden, so it makes sense :-)

I have a spotting of this critter, too: https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/38.... We thought at first it was a Red Palm Weevil larva, but I'm not sure - some sort of beetle larva, though.
