Striped Skink

Ctenotus taeniolatus

Description:

The Striped Skink is a medium sized skink. Striped Skinks are olive brown on top with stripes of dark brown and white running from head to tail. They have a black, white edged band along the centre of the back, and on either is a white band edged in black. The sides are dark brown and spotted with white.

Habitat:

Striped skinks are found in open bushland and heathland. They live in rocky and sandy places, with cover nearby to escape from predators. Found along the eastern seaboard of Australia.
