Eastern Box Turtle (male)

Description:

Approximately 8" in length. Shell and skin are brown with orange pattern. Shell is high domed. Eyes are red.

Habitat:

Spotted sauntering down our driveway. The area is wooded with swampy areas.

Notes:

This turtle is carrying a bright green object in his mouth in such a way that it appears to be attached to his lower lip.
