Description:

Small plant with sprawling stems. Orange, five petaled, flowers with red near the center produced singly at junctions of the leaves. Egg-shaped stalkless leaves without teeth. Squarish stem. Native to Europe and Africa (as per Wikipedia). This species of plant can produce orange, red or blue flowers. (note: feathery leaves belong to Wild Carrot)

Habitat:

Niagara Falls State Park, Niagara Falls, New York. Growing on the edge of a vegetated area between footpaths.

Notes:

This plant was on the other side of a fence so I did my best with my wimpy zoom and cropping. :)
