10" long piranha caught in the lagoon where we had been swimming - luckily they are scavengers not predators!

This is a pacu, nor a piranha...the genuses look very similar but it's obviously a pacu due to it lack of a protruding lower jaw as well as the extensive anal fin...

Not me Pam! A few of the guys were catching them with a line at the end of the jetty. Usually I'm not a fan of dead fish, but I'd never seen a piranha before.
