That sounds like an awesome gig Logan! Sounds right up your alley. I'm definitely interested in your research and will shoot you an email. More than likely, many of the moths you are finding are in my area as well. I'm really weak with moth ID. Thanks and enjoy the field position!
I managed to snag an nice field research tech job for the summer looking at butterfly and bee diversity on grasslands undergoing different management practices. My work was suppose to be an addition to that, but I think it has turned more into a species hunt. We'll see if I can collect enough data in one summer to make any claims. Otherwise, I'll just be giving my records to the county and letting them add it to the county list I think. If I get something neat, I'll collect it and hopefully this fall I can look at it under a nice microscope. I've got a clearwing right now that I'm excited to look at. But I might look at scale evolution this fall and how different genus's scale shape are different. I don't know though, I've been super busy as well. If you have any more questions, I'd be glad to answer them. If you want to stay in the loop with what's happening, you can send me an email at ldcrees@iastate.edu, or just check the mission page from time to time.
Hey Logan, it's been a pretty busy year for me, but now have some time for myself. It's good to have the camera back out again! Not much new over hear. Same ole flatland Illinois. I see you have some research going on with moths. What is the scope of your project if you don't mind me asking?

Good to see you're still out an about! Anything new on that side of the boarder?
