Tropical Milkweed

Description:

Tropical Milkweed - Asclepias curassavica, is known by many different names. Scarlet milkweed, Tropical milkweed, Bloodroot, Bloodflower, Bastard Ipecacuanhais are just a few of the names this plant is called. It is the host plant for Monarch and Queen butterfly caterpillars. A South American native, Tropical Milkweed grows 30"-36" high and produces clusters of bright yellow or yellow-orange bi-colored flowers.
