A falcon native to New Zealand and an endangered species that protected by law. This falcon is the fastest bird of prey in New Zealand but its numbers are dropping quickly as they are being killed by farmers after the NZ falcon kills its wildlife. Also known as the karearea.
Found in forest in throughout New Zealand's North and South Islands.
