False Garden Mantis

Pseudomantis albofimbriata (f)

Description:

75mm. Bright green with yellow lines along the face and into the eyes. This is a female as proven by the wings which only cover half the abdomen and leave her unable to fly

Habitat:

This specimen found on a fence in a coastal suburb in late summer

Notes:

I am not good at mantid ID but as the wings cover only half of the abdomen I suggest this is a female of the False Mantis. The yellow markings on the face concern me as to the ID and I will research some more
