A bottle fly/blow fly. The leaf width varies from 20-25 mm. The lack of apparent conspicuous "postsutural acrostichal bristles" seems to argue against (many) Lucilia sp. (see http://bugguide.net/node/view/232115 )
Observed on Duranta erecta in a large semi-urban yard & garden, near a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.
