Actaea rubra
The Red Baneberry grows between one and two feet in height. The tiny white flowers are arranged in a dense cluster at the end of the stem. After the flowers have gone by a cluster of scarlet-red poisonous berries appears. The leaves are arranged in groups of three and the veins on the leaves are very noticeable.
It can be found in shaded woodlands and thickets, or woodland springs.
