Spotting

Description:

This is a ctenophore spotted in Western Lake, floating along near a dock. I am not sure what the scientific name of this species is. This individual was the only one around and I've never seen them in this lake before.

Habitat:

Gulf of Mexico estuary Brackish water Western Lake, Grayton Beach, Florida, 32459

Cari- sort of like a jellyfish. Jellies belong to the group Cnidarians, this spotting I believe is a Ctenophore- a different type of invertebrate :)
