Coprinus comatus
3-8 inches tall, flaky and soft to the touch. Most clusters already undergoing auto-digestion. Nice texture cooked, flavor was rich though undistinctive.
Clustered in short stretch of conifers by heritage park lake, about one every 100 square foot.
When foraged, must be prepared immediately or caps will autodigest. Cooking & freezing may halt process, though difficult to impossible to dry.
