NZ Spotted Skink

Description:

The Spotted skink thought to be extinct from the Christchurch area was found in the grounds of Orana Park in 2004. It was last reported on the Port Hills in 1950 and at McCain's Island near Orana Park in 1980. The one found at Orana Park appeared to be pregnant and was 21cm long. It is listed as in gradual decline.
