Florida False Coral

Description:

Photo take at -50 ft on a coral reef. This has to be one of my favorites spots ever amazing soft coral, i been looking for years to photograph it and finally the ocean give this present to see one. Closely related to the true sea anemones, the two species in the Ricordea genus occur in similar, albeit geographically distinct, environments in nature. Ricordea florida, also known as the Florida False Coral,It commonly occurs in colours, including blue, green and orange, and some specimens exhibit more than one colour.In terms of size, they can reach several centimetres in diameter and may have several oral openings on a single disc.

Habitat:

Found in shallow waters up to -50 ft on coral reef, unusual to find from Florida all the Caribbean sea.
