Description:

Thorax with a characteristic "bat" black pattern that is not so visible on the pictures. Therefore it is also called Batman Hoverfly. With a body length of 14mm and a wing length of 12mm, they look quite big on a flower. The body appears almost furry as it is covered with golden yellow hairs.
