Lobed leafs on this weed with dark seed heads with forked ends.

Habitat:

Front yard under juniper tree in grass. This species is not native to California and found in "AL, AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, HI, KY, LA, MA, MD, MO, MS, NC, NM, OR, PA, SC, TX, WI" - US Wildflowers

Notes:

Aka Spanish Needles, Romerillo, Common Beggar's-tick, Hairy Beggarticks, Cobbler's Pegs. Great attractor of butterflies.
