Description:

Large lizard, big head. Black and yellow "collar" diagnositic.

Habitat:

Large male specimen sitting on boulders in dry arroyo amid typical Sonoran Desert habitat of cacti, ocotillo, and mesquite.

Notes:

Males are exceptionally colorful in breeding season.
