Chrysanthemum leucanthemum

Description:

This flower has a white and yellow flower head 1-2 " wide, with up to 20 white petals surrounding a yellow center of disk flowers. Leaves are dark green, irregularly toothed with leaves up to 6" long.

Habitat:

Spotted near the Tamarac Visitor Center. It grows in wet or dry areas, in fields, pastures and along roads.

Notes:

This flower is also called the Common Daisy.
