Description:

One of only 2 Venomous lizard species in the world - not accounting for those who have considerably deadly bacteria in their mouth like that of the Komodo Dragon. These are considered Endangered in most states and protected under CITES II. Only provable captive born specimens are allowed in the reptile trade, and only in states in which the Gila monster does not reside.
