Canvasbacks are a species of duck. The white plume in their backs and bellies give it the name Canvasback.
It likes to nest near water on prarie marshes.
I do apologize for the lack of quality of the picture. But it was a rather large floatilla. I've linked the Wikipedia page if you would like a close-up. Submitted by Jake.
