Jacky Dragon

Amphibolurus muricatus

Habitat:

Semi-rural, suburban town by a beach and between coastal sand dunes.

Notes:

Three juvenile Black-backed Magpies had captured this guy and because of their inexperience all it had to do to keep them all at bay was to hiss loudly and look angry. By the time I came out they were all sitting along the fence daring each other to be the one to try and get close next. When I took it away from them they sat outside the door and complained all afternoon. I had forgotten I had this spotting.
