Southern Leopard Frog

Lithobates sphenocephalus

Notes:

I know this is either a northern or southern leopard frog I'm leaning more toward southern because of the pointy nose. In the area I found this their range over laps.

Definitely a Southern Leopard Frog.
The other difference between the two is the light dot on the eardrum and the white halo around the spots as the Northern has no dot in the eardrum and has black around the dots.

I definitely was not positive on it being northern, I looked at both species for awhile but it just looked more northern to me. I've never actually seen a northern though, we only have one species here so I don't have to worry about distinguishing them ;) If you feel strongly about southern though then that's what it probably is!

Sorry Ashley, this looks more like a Southern to me... look at the noses:...

I would personally call this northern, but don't take my word for it. I would wait on more opinions.
