Description:

Measures about 35cm long. It has a flat and whitish blue shield, yellow legs and "reverse beacon" not split white. Immature like the moorhen commonplace, but brown-yellowish color.

Habitat:

It can be found throughout the Brazilian territory in swamps, lakes with marshy banks and inundated rice fields.
