Description:

A juvenile goldfich, found in Malvern park, St Albans Wellington NZ. It didn't seem to suffer from any injurie, and it was taken to a wild animal/bird rescue clinic, where it died few hours later, of undetermined reasons...

That's a strong possibility too, dear @Dane, but I've seen such cases before, and it's a bit strange -but not impossible- to abandon a chick wich is almost fully feathered...I suspect that it fell from the nest, or that it was attacked by some other animal/bird, or smthng like that...

It, the parents might've abandoned the chick knowing it wasn't healthy, good call, and keep up the good work, I am very proud of you
And I'm sure all the animals appreciate your help as well, wether they make it or not.
