Description:

The adults are predatory, feeding on small insects, while the larva feed off dung. Generally found in cooler regions. The males hang out on dung piles, waiting for females and to prey on other dung attracted flies

Habitat:

Deer dung in suburban backyard

Notes:

Lovely warm winter day and they were everywhere
