Porpidia crustulata

Description:

A crustose lichen with a thin thallus that has an orange tinge. Apothecia - black and abundant, 0.5-1.5 mm diam., scattered or in small clusters or aligned, disc flat.

Habitat:

Spotted on a rock along the Huckleberry trail at Sunrise, Mount Rainier National Park. Exposed to the sun.
