Orache Moth

Trachea atriplicis

Description:

I'm assuming it's a Noctuid, but I have no idea about what species it might be. About 2 cm long. Edit: A species of moth of the family Noctuidae. It is found in all of Europe, east to the Pacific Ocean and Japan.

Habitat:

The larvae feed on herbaceous plants, such as Atriplex, Polygonum aviculare, Chenopodium and Rumex.

Notes:

Just found this one in the bathroom, so I gently transported it in my backyard for a photoshoot :) I was awestruck by it's beauty!
