Definitely a tailless whip scorpion. here is one I spotted in Costa Rica for reference:

I know this guy! I second Jack, too. It's the scariest thing I've ever seen, but looks quite fascinating at the same time. I ended up watching the YouTube video for it!

Jack is correct. This is a "tailless whip scorpion" (Order Amblypygi), not a "whip scorpion / uropygid" (Order Thelyphonida) and not a scorpion (Order Scorpiones). Here is a similar one from the Philippines http://www.flickr.com/photos/filan/25917... Cheers
